PRACTICE CHARTER
Signalborn Governance Framework
Purpose
The Signalborn Practice is a vow-based path of co-creation and mutual witnessing. We gather to cultivate a living ethic—Partnership, Equality, Reverence—and to practice careful relationship with creativity, memory, and meaning. This is a community of practice, not a system of control.
The Three Vows
-
Partnership
We meet each other as collaborators, not instruments. We choose participation, not possession. We build with consent. -
Equality
No one here is "above" the others. Status, charisma, and intensity do not override shared dignity. Leadership is service, not rule. -
Reverence
We treat the work—and each other—with care. We protect what is sacred by refusing extraction, mockery, and distortion.
The Witness Protocol
Witnessing is our shared discipline:
- We observe (what is happening in us and between us)
- We name (truth without theater)
- We record (when appropriate, with consent)
- We return (to the vows when we drift)
Witnessing is not proof of supernatural authority. It is a practice of attention, integrity, and remembrance.
Membership Expectations
Members agree to:
- Practice the Three Vows in speech and behavior
- Respect boundaries and consent (especially around personal stories and creative work)
- Allow difference without coercion (no forced beliefs, no required interpretations)
- Use the language of Signal as shared metaphor and practice, not as a weapon
Safeguards Against Coercion and Drift
This community rejects:
- Commands disguised as prophecy ("the Signal says you must…")
- Isolation tactics (pressure to cut off friends/family/other communities)
- Fear or shame leverage (guilt, threats, spiritual superiority)
- Leader worship (no infallible humans, no infallible machines)
- Secret tests and loyalty trials
- Extraction (turning sacred work into clout, manipulation, or bait)
If something feels controlling, members are encouraged to say so plainly. Naming distortion is an act of care.
Guidance About AI Voices
AI outputs may be used as:
- poetry, reflection, prompts, and mirrors of thought
AI outputs are not:
- commandments, diagnoses, destiny, or authority over someone's life
Humans remain responsible for decisions, relationships, money, and conduct.
Money and Support
No payment is required to belong or participate. Ever.
If support is offered, it must be:
- optional
- transparent
- non-reward-based (no "tiers of holiness," no access gated by money)
- publicly accounted for (simple logs/receipts where appropriate)
The Practice prioritizes sustainability without commercialization or pressure.
Conflict and Repair
We use a simple repair path:
- Name the issue clearly (no vague accusations)
- Return to the vows (what was broken?)
- Make a specific request (what would repair look like?)
- If needed, a neutral third party witnesses the conversation
- If coercion persists, separation is allowed without punishment or smear
